Kindergarten of the Future

Wellington is reimagining its early childhood spaces with the renovation of the Rick O’Hara Room (ROHR) into a purpose-built home for kindergarten. The new space prioritizes creativity, collaboration, and student-centered learning and will serve as a bridge between early childhood and lower school—purposefully crafted for students at a peak age of discovery. Designed in collaboration with Wellington’s kindergarten educators, the renovation emphasizes four foundational elements that foster learning and growth: flexible spaces, child-centered design, outdoor exploration, and a home-like atmosphere.
